Jonathan Edwards, previously the assistant treasurer at PPG, has been promoted to the role of director, investor relations, effective Jan. 8.

A year later, he returned to the U.S., where he undertook various roles with escalating finance and strategic responsibilities.

His expertise has spanned across several sectors within PPG, including automotive refinish, performance coatings, business development for Transitions Optical (formerly a PPG joint venture), and global finance directorship in protective, marine and packaging coatings.

Edwards' international experience includes his tenure as the regional CFO for PPG in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, a position he held in Rolle, Switzerland, starting in 2016. In 2020, he returned to the U.S. to serve as the global finance director for PPG’s global architectural coatings businesses.

Before joining PPG, Edwards had a stint at Arthur Anderson, LLP. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Additionally, Edwards is a CPA.
