Bishops Collision Repair in Batesville, AR, is celebrating its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of growth, customer service and community support. What began as a backyard operation has transformed into a full-service collision and mechanical repair facility, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted local business.

According to White River Now, the company was founded by brothers Brenden and Kerwin Bishop, whose early experiences fixing their own vehicles led them to pursue careers in collision repair. After gaining industry experience, they opened their first shop in a small three-car garage on Ruddell Hill. Their hard work and commitment quickly propelled the business forward, eventually leading to their current location on Lawrence Street and the expansion of Bishops Auto Clinic for mechanical services.

Over the years, Bishops Collision has embraced industry advancements, transitioning from handwritten estimates to computerized systems, integrating a downdraft paint baking booth for faster repairs, and becoming a direct service shop for insurance companies to streamline customer experiences.

Community support has been instrumental in the company's success. The business services a wide range of vehicles, including personal cars, school buses, and emergency response vehicles. It also sponsors local schools, charities, and organizations such as John 3:16, Special Olympics and the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch.

"Community plays a large role in supporting small businesses, especially in the collision repair industry," Kerwin told White River Now. "We are able to support and help our community the same way they support us."

Today, the business has expanded from three employees to a dedicated team, emphasizing quality service and customer trust. Reflecting on their journey, the Bishops credit their employees and loyal customers for their continued growth.

"The pride we take in our work and seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces when they pick up their vehicles keeps us motivated," they said.

As they celebrate this milestone, the brothers remain committed to their founding values of honesty, perseverance, and hard work. Their message to the community is one of gratitude and continued service.

"Thank you for your support and for standing behind us throughout the years. We look forward to another 30!"
