Doug Petersen, vice president of sales at SSF Imported Auto Parts, has been appointed to the CAWA Board of Directors, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to stronger representation from the warehouse distributor (WD) segment.
“I am pleased to announce that Doug is joining the CAWA Board of Directors,” said Wayne Schaack, chair of CAWA’s Board of Directors. “He represents the WD segment of the industry, and we have been pursuing these representatives to serve on the board. I look forward to Doug’s participation and contributions to CAWA in assisting the association in achieving its goals as an effective and valuable automotive care industry organization.”
Petersen began his automotive career as a technician and steadily rose through leadership positions, including area manager for a large automotive chain in the Phoenix market. Since joining SSF Imported Auto Parts in 2007 as an account manager, he has served in several leadership roles, including pricing manager and sales director, before assuming his current role as vice president of sales.
Known for his hands-on leadership style, Petersen continues to engage with the field through sales blitzes across the U.S., working directly with shop owners and technicians to better understand their operational challenges.
He resides in Queen Creek, AZ, and enjoys spending time with his wife, four children and four grandchildren.
CAWA, a regional automotive aftermarket trade association, serves as a voice for the industry in California, Nevada and Arizona.
