In the latest Kelley Blue Book 2025 Consumer Choice Awards, Honda emerged as the dominant automaker among non-luxury brands, sweeping five of six categories, while Porsche reclaimed the top luxury title for the first time in 10 years.
Announced by Cox Automotive, the annual awards recognize automakers based on consumer perception data collected from more than 12,000 in-market new-car shoppers via Kelley Blue Book’s Brand Watch study. The awards highlight automakers that earn top marks in categories such as trust, value, performance and overall brand experience.
“Honda leads in this year's Consumer Choice Awards, nearly sweeping all of the non-luxury categories and taking home more award wins than any other automaker for 2025,” said Vanessa Ton, senior research and market intelligence manager at Cox Automotive.
Honda was named Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand, Best Value Brand, Best Performance Brand, and Best In-Vehicle Experience Brand. The only non-luxury category it didn’t claim, Best Car Styling Brand, went to Dodge.
In the truck segment, Toyota reclaimed the Best Overall Truck Brand award, bouncing back from Ram’s 2024 win.
Among electric and hybrid vehicles, Lexus secured its first win as Best Overall EV/Hybrid Brand.
On the luxury front, Porsche earned Best Overall Luxury Brand for the first time since 2015, while also taking home honors for Most Refined and Best Performance. Lexus was recognized as the Most Trusted Luxury Brand, Acura as Best Value, and BMW for Best Car Styling.
