The California Autobody Association (CAA) announced Andrew Batenhorst, body shop manager at Pacific BMW Collision Center, as president of its Glendale/Foothill Chapter.
Batenhorst's extensive background, spanning more than 25 years in the automotive and insurance sectors, positions him as a seasoned leader for the chapter's future endeavors.
In his new role, Batenhorst is set to leverage his industry expertise to spearhead the development of strategies, policies and chapter meetings, all aimed at advancing the CAA's core mission of advocating and safeguarding the interests of body shops across California. In addition to his tenure at Pacific BMW, a long-standing member of the CAA, Batenhorst is also on the board of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) and the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) Estimating and Parts & Materials Committees.
Batenhorst's dedication to the field is further evidenced by his involvement in educational advisory committees at both College of the Canyons and the University of Riverside, where he contributes to shaping the future of automotive education and training.
"I love this industry very much and owe most of my success to having great mentors," Batenhorst said. "Organizations like the CAA were there for me in my formative years of my career, and I want to give back to the industry as it did for me. I look forward to bringing real-world experience and knowledge to the association and highlighting important topics that body shops need to know about to improve their businesses."
