McGovern Auto Group (MAG) announced the opening of its MAG Collision Center, a sprawling 75,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art center located at 420 Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury, MA.
The MAG Collision Center is now the single largest auto body shop in the Northeast and the biggest dealer-owned collision center in the nation. It represents a substantial multimillion-dollar investment by McGovern.
Equipped with 40 repair bays, the center is designed to handle any passenger or commercial vehicle, featuring specialized zones for detailed body repairs, paint preparation, mixing, detailing and refinishing, including four downdraft-enabled paint booths and a distinct paint system for fleet and commercial vehicles.
MAG Collision Center is certified or currently pending certification with all of its dealership brands, including BMW, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Ferrari and more.

For commercial clients, the center offers specialized services with a 60-foot truck paint booth and prep deck, addressing the needs of heavy trucks, emergency vehicles, tractor trailers and more.
Additionally, the facility is set to house McGovern Transport, the group's transport and vehicle mobility division, with a fleet of 14 trucks, further integrating the company's services and supporting its regional growth objectives.
The facility's team brings decades of expertise across every collision discipline, and has plans to expand further. "We are actively looking to grow our talented 30-person team by nearly 50%, with 10 open roles for experienced auto body technicians, paint technicians, estimators and customer service representatives," said Brian D'Alesio, general manager of the MAG Collision Center. The launch follows a milestone year for McGovern Auto Group, having expanded to 29 dealerships across Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire while amassing over $2.2 billion in annual revenues.
