PA School Adds Auto Collision Repair Course

The six-week course is for adults who want to enter the field or enhance existing skills.

North Montco Technical Career Center in Lansdale, PA, offers 22 different classes, taught by industry professionals, especially designed for adults who want hands-on experience.

The training center announced its new program, Automotive Collision Repair (The Basics). 

The 36-hour course will meet 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays between March 5 and April 18. The enrollment fee is $875.

The six-week Automotive Collision Repair course is students' gateway to acquiring the knowledge and skills essential for success in the dynamic world of automotive restoration. Delivered by an instructor with more than 35 years of industry experience, the program covers safety practices, tool identification, dent repair, rust removal, surface preparation, coatings review and paint/primer application. Both theoretical and hands-on sessions encompass tasks from choosing personal protective equipment to mastering spray gun techniques. Whether entering the field or enhancing existing skills, this course provides a comprehensive overview of collision repair fundamentals.

Students are expected to supply work clothes (can get dirty), safety glasses, a disposable respirator (preferably 3M) and work boots (steel toe is best). All items can be purchased online.
